Tie Skirt
Before making this skirt, check out the
tie
projects page for help in sewing with neckties.
Measure from the wide end up 19-20 inches or depending on how long
you want your skirt plus add a few inches.
Sew one tie next to each other until skirt can be fitted around your
hips. Pin two end ties together matching right sides together. Lay
the zipper on top of the edge of your material and mark where the
end meets.
Sew edge closed to zipper mark.
Pin
and
sew zipper in place. Fold top edge down and sew a zigzag or
straight hem along top edge.
