Sew a Keychain

Sew a Keychain

Using fabric scraps I like to make keychains. I cut square shapes out of designs on the fabric.

You will need 2 pieces for the front and back and a piece of interfacing the same size. Plus a smaller strip for a loop on the top.

Iron the piece of interfacing on one of the square pieces of fabric.

Fold the strip in half and sandwich it between two pieces of fabric. Placing the two pieces right sides out. Pin in place.

Sew all along edges sewing the loop in place as well.

I just topstitch and not worry about fraying edges. I think it adds to the design. This is a good way to try out different stitches you have on your machine as well.

Add a key ring and you're done!
