Whatever you do, do not buy a sewing machine from John Lewis or Walmart, they are all rip-offs!
I bought a cute pink one that was supposed to last for a guarantee, 5 years. I used it for 1 dress, I made out of felt for my cousin's baby and It broke. It had cost me $599 and Walmart refused to repay me.
