How to Sew a Belt


Directions on how to sew a belt, a quick and easy sewing project.
Measure your waist and add 4 inches. This will be the length of your material. Cut length of material and 3 1/2 inches wide.

With your strip of material, fold right sides together and stitch along top and along side leaving one end open.

Turn right sides out and iron flat. Tuck the open end inward and sew closed. Tuck 1-2 inches in through your belt ring (see picture below).  Sew end.

You can also use 2 circle rings as pictured below but add 10 inches to waist length measurement. Check out the tie belt project.
